Look at the pictures, and then answer the questions.
Yes. I once visited a zoo when I was in Ho Chi Minh City in 1970.
I’m interested in wild animals such as tigers, lions or brown bears, ...

WHILE YOU READ (Trong khi em đọc)
Read the paragraphs, and then do the tasks that follow.

That’s right. And then the condition in which wild animals live, I think, is not so good and comfortable as that in the nature.
c. OK, it’s true. And the animals cannot do what they want, that is they cannot run, jump, climb or chase the prey as they do in the nature.
A. But in the zoos of the new kind, the endangered animals can be safe from being hunted or killed, that is they can develop. Moreover, they can be protected from dangerous diseases in the nature and have better food.
c. However, there’s a disadvantage we may not ignore: the dangers that keepers may have. They can be injured or killed by the animals.
But in the zoos of the new kind, we can save and conserve the animals that are at the edge of extinction.

TAPESCRIPT
Have you ever seen a forest destroyed by fire? A great forest fire is an awful thing to see. Once afire has started, it spreads quickly. Foresters say that late summer is the season when fire is the greatest danger to woods and forests. They are very dry then. Sometimes when the danger of fire is very great, foresters will not allow anyone to go into the forests.
If people leave a camp-fire burning near a heap of leaves, this often causes a forest fire. Campers must always remember to put out their camp fire and cover the place with earth. It is the duty of every camper to take the greatest care not to start a forest fire.
Anyone careless enough to start a forest fire has done something which makes life more difficult for all of US. Every fire destroys valuable wood and wildlife, and good soil. Everyone of US must know how important it is to care for our great forests and save them from fire. '
AFTER YOU LISTEN (Sau khi em nghe)
Work in pairs. Say how a forest fire may start and what every camper ought to remember.
A forest fire can start with a small burning cigarette butt, or with a burning camp-fire near a heap of dry leaves or grass. Sometimes a lightning can cause a forest fire, too.
Every camper ought to remember to put out the camp-fire before he leaves the place by covering it with earth. And another thing they should keep in their mind is they should not make a camp-fire near heaps of dead leaves or grass, especially in the very dry weather.
